Remaining faithful to the unconscious roots of her language and maintaining the intuitive discharge, Rivera-Bond’s recent painting becomes more lyrical, with compositions that refer to landscape or vegetation. Pastel tones and less intense contrasts appear. Gradually, pigment covers the canvas again, abandoning the neutral backgrounds of her previous series in sinuous and animated paintings.
